Indonesian national football team managed to defeat Brunei Darussalam 6-0 in the 2026 World Cup Qualifier at Gelora Bung Karno (GBK) Main Stadium, Jakarta, on Thursday (10/12) evening. President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo, who also watched the match live, lauded the result.
“It is really entertaining because of the score. I think this is a good start since we will have another match in Brunei,” President Jokowi said in his statements before the media after the match.
During the match, the Indonesian national team’s first goal was scored by Dimas Drajad in the 7th minute. Indonesia’s second goal scored in the 11th minute after Saddil Ramdani’s corner kick was well finished by Rizky Ridho.

Dimas Drajad successfully completed a hat-trick after scoring two additional goals in the 72nd and 90+2nd minutes. President Jokowi said that all national team players played nicely.
“Everyone did a great job with the teamwork, but the entry of Ramadhan Sananta into the second half of the game somewhat changed the pattern of the game,” he revealed.
